Meet Marcelien Bos-de Koning! Multiple World sailing champion, silver-medal winner in Beijing 2008, Chef the Emission of the Dutch Sports Equipe and now official Wavemaker! We are very excited that she is part of our team.
Wavemakers United supports and collaborates with athletes. We want to inspire people to treat sustainability just as top-sport and to treat the Climate Goals of Paris 2023 as the Olympic Games. Just like the athletes we set realistic deadlines and goals to achieve the climate goals by 2030.
We cannot deny some steps need to be made within the sport sector. Marcelien is committed to create a zero-footprint sporting sector.

Marcelien got to speak at the Council of Europe Conference of Ministers Responsible for Sport to talk about rethinking sports in a circular economy.
